GSM Exchange is an Irish company that every year organizes a high quality hall, full of enthusiastic phone dealers inside the Reseller Area (Hall 12). Each phone dealer has been hand-picked by them, and they carefully supervise who can, and cannot advertise, on their buying and selling web platform.
I can clearly say that visiting or exhibiting in this “zone” as they call it, is more profitable than exhibiting elsewhere, because of the amount of traffic of buyers, and even sellers. I met a gentleman at the same hotel I stayed at a couple of years back. He told me if you have honey, the bees will come. In this case, the “honey” are mobile phones. Many of the exhibitors deal with their neighboring exhibitors, and some visitors come to really sell to them and make new contacts.
GSM Exchange Area: What You Will Find Here
Besides lots of mobile phone dealers (some of which hire very attractive German booth hostesses to attract customers), you will also meet dealers who sell phone accessories, tablets, video game consoles, and other fast selling branded electronic products.
Halls are very ample, and there are rarely bottlenecks of people trying to pass. Since it takes place in the Reseller Planet, you will not find end-users coming in the way, and the exhibitors know that every visitor is interested in doing business. UPDATE CeBIT 2018: The reseller area is now open to anyone with a regular ticket.
GSM Exchange Videos:
As you can see in the video above, exhibitors are happy, and many keep coming back year after year. They keep on meeting new customers every year, and also take advantage of the spacious facilities. Many meetings take place in the medium sized bar where you can order drinks and food. As a visitor, you will also receive a small booklet with the full contact details of all exhibitors.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR VISITORS: Although GSM Exchange tries to filter the good suppliers from the bad, there can still be problems with certain suppliers. Please do your own research to ensure the honesty of a specific supplier, before you deal with them.
